My name is Marie Pètre
I support organisations on strategic, legal, policy and compliance questions in the area of sustainability, in particular EU rules on product compliance and value chain/supply chain regulations. I also advise on the development and implementation of standards and certification frameworks.
For example, in recent times, I have advised on questions related to: EUDR, PPWR, Batteries Regulation, CSRD, CS3D/CSDDD, the Empowering Consumers Directive (EmpCo) and the Forced Labour Regulation.
I have practiced law both in house and in private practice which has shaped how I provide legal advice.
I am based in Brussels but have worked with teams across all continents and time zones.
I am an attorney (avocat/advocaat) registered with the Brussels Bar (Barreau de Bruxelles - Ordre Français des Avocats).
I am a native French speaker, and am fluent in English and Dutch.
